It’s useful for getting specifications if you know the model or area trying to find it out, it lists by years and it seems to be quite accurate. This is useful because they collected a LOT of original Fender Stratocaster detailed parts lists and wiring diagrams. The other defining features are headstock shape, location of the decals, font of the serial number, truss rod hole (big indicator). It could be a forgery (less likely if the serial is correct). Keep in mind, when trying to figure out your Stratocaster pay attention to the features that came out the year it was released. It might still give you the model, but not the specifications. Your Stratocaster may not show up here if it’s older (pre 2005 ish, especially in the 90’s on back.
